Jacqueline Coleman is an award-winning author whose work gives voice to overlooked narratives and explores the invisible social constructs that shape our lives.
Raised as a Jehovah’s Witness during the civil rights movement, Jacqueline developed a unique lens through which to view the world—one that informs her deeply reflective and thought-provoking storytelling. Her debut novel, Kings of Armageddon, examines the tension between faith and identity, while her memoir, To Be Immortal, chronicles her journey from belief to self-discovery.

Jacqueline received the 2024 Rising Star Award from the Women’s Fiction Writing Association (WFWA) for the first chapter of her novel, Kings of Armageddon.
WLT Award
Jacqueline also won the Writer’s League of Texas (WLT) 2024 manuscript contest for the first chapter of her work-in-progress memoir, To Be Immortal.
In addition to writing, Jacqueline is passionate about culture, genealogy, and travel.
Her curiosity has taken her to 45 U.S. states and 20 countries, including language-learning adventures in Paris, Montreal, and Salvador Bahia, Brazil. These experiences enrich her storytelling, offering readers fresh perspectives on universal themes. Jacqueline lives outside Austin, Texas, with her husband, Sam, and is currently developing her blog, Hidden Echoes: Commentary on Social Constructs, where she continues to explore the invisible rules that shape our lives.
